Piano is the perfect first instrument because it is accessible for anyone. It teaches both treble clef (high notes) and bass clef (low notes) which makes it easy to choose almost any other instrument later in life and still be able to read the notation.

It develops many coordination skills that are physically beneficial while also developing brain pathways that will set the student up for a life time of learning.

It develops self-discipline skills that will be valuable throughout life.

It also gives the student a platform for self expression. Music is a wonderful way to communicate what you feel.
